Dorset Police works with local businesses to tackle crime
October 18, 2022Christchurch BID reports a successful first year
January 27, 2023Pro2col, the leading UK experts in Managed File Transfer (MFT) dusted off their Christmas jumpers to fundraise for Save the Children.
Pro2col’s company ethos is ‘doing things right, doing the right thing.’ A core belief that inspired them to go the extra mile when fundraising for Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.
Over the years, Pro2col have gone above and beyond to involve the Christchurch community in their Christmas Jumper fundraising efforts. Arranging for the team to race down Tuckton High Street dressed up in pig outfits (complete with a sports masseuse to ensure tip-top performance from the porcine participants) and the challenging visitors to Saxon Square to a keepy-uppy challenge are just a couple of their ambitious fund-raising schemes. This year, Pro2col wore their glorious Christmas jumpers and gathered in Saxon Square to sell sweet treats and sing festive carols. They are delighted that their singing efforts contributed to an astounding £1,881 raised to make a difference to children all around the world.
This year, all donations are matched by the government, taking Pro2col’s total donation to a whopping £3,762! Pro2col smashed their target and raised over £200 more than the previous year. The fundraising event finished with a community photo, where we were joined by local solicitors Frettens and recruitment consultants Dovetail.
James Lewis, Pro2col founder and Managing Director commented:
“Christmas Jumper Day has previously been about wearing a jumper and putting a donation in a pot. That’s great for big businesses with lots of staff. But we wanted to create an opportunity for smaller businesses and franchises to join together in a community event for this important cause.”
As a local business, giving back to the community is at the heart of everything Pro2col do. This year, the company also donated to food banks, baked delicious treats, and scorched their tongues taking part in the ‘Hot Ones Challenge ‘and rounded off the charity events with Christmas Jumper Day. In total this year they have raised £4,459 for various local charities. Pro2col’s Christmas Jumper Day fundraising couldn’t have happened without the support of the team at Saxon Square who kindly allowed our carolers to set up stall.
Save the Children aims to change children’s lives in 118 countries and has raised over £30 million to help transform lives. Their work is only possible thanks to the 5 million UK supporters wearing a Christmas Jumper, and their local shops organising fundraising events.
