Freelance Social Media Consultant – Freelance

Are you a creative individual with a passion for design and digital marketing? If this, is you, keep reading!  The ideal candidate will have experience in marketing and/or social media management and will not be afraid to throw themselves into BID life. As this is a creative role, it is integral that the candidate has basic photo and video editing skills and feels comfortable creating regular content. A knowledge of TikTok & IG reels is beneficial too!

Christchurch BID is looking for a Social Media freelancer to kickstart their social media campaigns for the next 6 months.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Devise and post daily content including interactive IG Stories /IGTV/Reels/TikTok/YouTube/Facebook/Twitter/LinkedIn.
• Drive innovative, seasonal campaigns such as events and trails.
• Produce interesting and unique copyright for social media posts.
• Developing social media strategies with the aim of increasing brand awareness and customer engagement
• Analysing the long-term needs of the company’s social media strategy and offering reports every month to the management and executive teams, outlining any necessary changes to the overall digital marketing plan
• Creating captivating content for an organisation’s social media sites, which may include writing blogs, articles, posts and multimedia content
• Staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends and digital technologies
• Liaise with Christchurch BID  Manager to manage your diary and weekly content calendar.

*Essential skills:

1-year+ experience in a marketing position OR relevant university degree, Digital Marketing, Media Comms, Film & Television Production, Creative Advertising etc.  * Basic photo and video editing skills * High level of written communication * Unfaltering eye for detail * Professional
