Food Fest Local – It’s coming!

With only 5 weeks to go until our very own Food Fest Local on the High Street and Christchurch Food Festival down on the Quomps there is so much you can do to make your business stand out when our town is full to the brim of visitors.

Over the next week the BID team will be out and about in town with posters to help promote the event and on the weekend itself we’ll be there along with volunteers from across our community to ensure attenders are able to make the most of their experience.

Everything is in place to ensure our summer bunting and floral planting is all installed before the bank holiday weekend and we’ve also made sure to bring in extra bins, rubbish collections and street cleaners to make the most of this wonderful opportunity to promote our town. 

And don’t forget, there’s still time to think about ways to get involved in what is one of the busiest trading weekends in Christchurch – even if you don’t sell food!

• You could think about offering exclusive Food Festival weekend discounts, giveaways or promotions to encourage visitors to return at a later date
• Decorate your shop window to add to the festive atmosphere and create a talking point for all the passersby
• Offer mini makeovers or quick beauty treatments to make the most of attenders wanting to look their best
• Showcase your products in a food related way in your shop window

There are so many ways to take advantage of the increased footfall in the town in your business, we hope that you can get creative to best showcase what you have to offer to potential customers visiting the town.
