The Great Christchurch Pancake Race is back!
January 8, 2024We Need You! Volunteers needed – Food Fest Local Event
March 18, 2024BCP Council have asked us to share the information below and ask that anyone who lives, works or does business in Christchurch contributes to the survey below.
From BCP Council:
Dear Residents, Businesses and local Stakeholders
We would like to make you aware we are currently consulting residents, partners, businesses and key stakeholders, and any other interested parties, on a proposal to extend the BCP Alcohol Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPO).
The BCP Alcohol PSPO was made on the 1 July 2021, the maximum duration of a PSPO is 3 years and it is due to expire on the 30 June 2024. The Council can at any time prior to the expiry of the Order extend it for a further 3 years, if they consider it is necessary to prevent the original behaviour from occurring or recurring.
The Council does, however, have to undertake further consultation before any decision can be made to either extend, vary or revoke the Order.
The PSPO has been reviewed and a range of information has been collated and analysed, this has identified that there is sufficient evidence to recommend the PSPO is extended with no changes being made to the original Order and areas covered.
The consultation will run from 12 January 2024 and close at midnight on 12 February 2024.
Your views are important to us and we want to hear from all those who live, work or visit the BCP area and who could be affected by this proposal. You can complete the survey and find more information https://haveyoursay.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/alcohol-pspo-review
Following the consultation, a full report on the findings and outcomes of the consultation will be considered and presented to Cabinet.
If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact the ASB Team: [email protected].
Many thanks
The BCP ASB Team
