September 14, 2022From the Boscombe-based community group Big Blue Play comes the Pop Up Playground. 0-99 year olds are invited to immerse themselves in ‘loose parts play’ where everyday objects are used in extraordinary ways. Big Blue Play celebrates the process of play. Research has proven that child-led free play enhances the brain’s executive control system.
Big Blue Play offer unique opportunities for children to be empowered through their own freely chosen play. At their Pop Up Playgrounds there isn’t a thing to make, instructions to follow, an adult leading or something to take home at the end of a session, except positive memories and bodies pumping with feel-good endorphins. Inclusive and unique the Pop Up Playground will ignite curiosity and intrigue whatever the weather because children don’t dissolve in the rain.
Children and families who visit the Pop Up Playground can expect children to lead their own play, explore play with random ‘stuff’, and mix with other ages to play together, or play alone if they prefer. Each child is respected as an individual with their own unique ways to play.
