Christchurch BID, organisers of Food Fest Local, are excited to announce that they will be working in partnership with Hot Radio, a dedicated community radio group broadcasting across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, and Dorset, to provide the weekend’s music and live entertainment. Taking place on Saturday, May 24th and Sunday, May 25th, 2025, from 10 AM to 6 PM, Christchurch High Street will be lined with a diverse range of food and drink traders offering artisan foods, locally crafted spirits, fine wine, and traditional fare, creating an unforgettable culinary experience. Transforming Christchurch High Street into a bustling marketplace, celebrating cuisine, culture, and entertainment, where visitors can indulge in the rich flavors of local hospitality businesses and traders from across the South Coast. Christchurch BID Food Fest Local compliments and runs alongside the established Christchurch Food Festival held annually at Christchurch Quay, celebrating its 25th anniversary, bringing live cooking demonstrations, hands-on culinary workshops, and artisan food markets.
Christchurch BID Operations Manager and organiser of the Food Festival Local event, Louise Berkhauer says ” We are excited to partner with the team at Hot Radio this year as they will be providing publicity and entertainment at the event over the May bank holiday weekend. Hot Radio’s attendance at the event will be a wonderful addition where we will again see Christchurch High Street come alive with thousands of people pursing the stalls, enjoying the food and wandering between the two food focused events in town”

Based in the heart of Christchurch town centre, Food Fest Local is a vibrant celebration of local cuisine and culinary culture, typically featuring a variety of local vendors. Food Fest Local is organised and run by Christchurch BID and initiated in 2023. Bringing an extension of the established Christchurch Food Festival, which is held at Christchurch Quay.

Hot Radio is YOUR local community radio station based in Dorset broadcasting to the Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole conurbation on FM and on Digital radio on DAB across the whole of Dorset. Hot Radio is run by over 100 volunteers and is a not-for-profit organisation.
